I just love these annuals. I throw the seed on the ground in May and they grow and bloom profusely all summer into autumn. I always have a fresh supply of flowers for the house and the butterflies love 'em, too.

I love the profusion zinnias. I read that they are bred (?) by Sakata of Japan. Is bred the right term?

The Clematis 'Jackmanii' is blooming beautifully. I read that there are over 297 species!

Our garden centers are beginning to slash prices on perennials. So many flowers, so little time.

The variety and beauty of these flowers have captured many artists throughout time, and I see why.
