Well, we didn't get the predicted additional snow fall. Instead, the sun came out, and the temperature dropped 20 degrees. It is currently 19 degrees with a wind chill of 6. Here you can see ice beginning to form on Delaware Creek.
I'm back, and not so happy about it, but I'll do my best . . . . The Kauai beaches are not at all crowded this time of year. Bear with me as I post a few more from the island paradise. Try to ignore the annoying spot that suddenly appeared on my camera lens. I'll have to try to get it cleaned. Wish me luck in these throw-away days of hard-to-find repair shops.
Jill asked me about the steps at Naumkeag. This view is from the top. The steps go off to both sides in a sort of switchback. Under the white arched railing is the blue-painted back of each pool of water. Deb, can you give a better explanation?
O.K. I really liked this shot of the yellow water tower, too. The sunflowers on the barbed wire fence add the perspective of just how large the tower is. It has been painted recently, and it just glows.
